Membership Coordinator

Reports to Membership Manager

Full-time Membership Coordinator providing support for membership, pledge drives, volunteers, kids club and special events.

Responsibility: Provides data entry support for member accounts including balancing the daily deposits, clerical support for all fundraising events, and clerical support of all member services processes. Is responsible for direct mail fulfillment and pledge date entry into Allegiance software. Processes member acknowledgements and correspondence and runs month end reports for membership. Assists the Development department with station events. Training provided.

Qualifications:  Strong data entry, computer, bookkeeping and clerical skills. Must be available to work a flexible Schedule including some nights and weekends. Customer service experience and the ability to multi-task a plus.

RTL/Outreach Coordinator

The Ready to Learn Outreach Coordinator represents the educational outreach for public broadcasting and is responsible for community awareness and growth of the program to assure that children in the tri-state are ready for school.

Responsible for creating relationships and partnerships with early childhood development professionals, schools, and community organizations relating to WNIN Ready to Learn outreach. Formulates and develops Ready to Learn workshops in the areas of Language & Literacy, Health & Science, and Child Development to fulfill the needs of caregivers and children in our community. Manages the Ready to Learn service, and obtains revenue to sustain the program from grants and community partners. Helps plan and present Kids Club and special events. This is a part-time position, averaging 20-25 hours per week throughout the calendar year.

Qualifications: Education background, teaching experience or work with early childhood preferred. Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required.

Skills Needed: Ability to engage parents, caregivers and teachers in learning and workshop discussions. Have the ability to collaborate internally with all departments at WNIN and also externally in the community. Grant seeking and writing experience. Ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task. Must value people of all ethnicities, income and levels of ability.

Part-Time Master Control Operator

WNIN-TV seeks part-time Master Control Operators for evening, weekend, and daytime shifts. This is a great opportunity for students and persons with flexible schedules. Duties include monitoring 5 channels of programming for quality and accuracy, recording discrepancies and solving problems, making changes to computer automation, and light production duties.

Volunteer Videographer

WNIN is looking for volunteers to act as independent videographers to document specific public events such as lectures, keynote speakers or public hearings. The programs would be shown on WNIN's local cable channel 12.

A typical assignment would include:

•  1. Picking up our special volunteer-friendly camera kit at WNIN and taking it to the event
•  2. Placing the camera on a stationary tripod or shooting with little or no camera movement
•  3. Recording the event in its entirety, usually in one continuous take

Qualified individuals will receive simple training and will be loaned all necessary equipment.
