Job Description:

WNIN seeks a part-time, temporary Auction Warehouse Attendant. The role’s primary responsibility is to pick up, transport and inventory items for the WNIN Spring Auction. Working directly with the Auction Coordinator, the Auction Warehouse Attendant will receive a route and list of items for pickup. As items are received, this person will work with the Auction Coordinator to enter the auction item into the software database and place the merchandise within the warehouse. Strong communication skills, valid driver’s license, ability to bend and lift heavy loads required. Other duties as assigned. EOE.

This position is temporary from March - May. It is part-time. Hours increase in April.  This year’s auction takes place April 18-24, 2016. This role is expected to be readily available to work a flexible schedule during event times.

 

Essential Job Functions:

Responsible for set up of warehouse.

Collects, transports and stores auction items.

Relays correct item descriptions and warehouse locations to Auction Coordinator.

Assembles auction items if needed.

Works with Production Department to fulfill promotional filming of merchandise.

Plans and maintains routes for merchandise pickups.

Coordinates rental truck donations when necessary.

Supervises all other warehouse workers and volunteers and coordinates their routes.

Performs relates duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.

 

Preferred Requirements:

Strong customer service skills

Strong communication skills

Physical requirements include occasional heavy lifting/carrying

Valid driver’s license required

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to meet work schedules and work independently.

Ability to communicate effectively.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and the general public.
