The Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana is pleased to announce a new exhibition in the Bower-Suhrheinrich Foundation Gallery entitled: Art by Architects. Eleven area architects will be presenting their work in this eclectic display of art which will be in the Gallery at 318 Main Street in downtown Evansville from January 17 through February 22. There will be a public reception to open the exhibition on Thursday, January 20, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

The artists, most of whom are members of the local chapter of the American Institute of Architects, will be showing works in oils, digital photography, digital illustration, charcoals, embossing, mono-prints and some three-dimensional items. Participating artists from local architectural firms include: Charline Buente, Michael Buente, Mike Davis, Allen Herke, Anna Beth Pfafflin, Jody Phillips, Maya Phillips, Mike Shoulders, Scott Veazey, Jack Faber and Rupert Condict.

The exhibition is part of the art rotation series the Arts Council sponsors in the Bower-Suhrheinrich Foundation Gallery throughout the year. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and other times by special arrangement. Admission to the Gallery is free and the public is most welcome to view the work of local artists.
