Impact
A national PBS impact study was conducted to measure the effects of our education workshops on
parents and educators, and the children in their care. Findings from this study indicate that
parents and educators who attend a WNIN education workshop:
- •Were more likely to discuss a program with the children in their care while watching.
- •Were more likely to discuss characters from a program with their children and view the program
with their children.
- •Were more likely to do activities and read a book with their children in their care related to
a program watched.
- •57 percent of parents are still reading to their children at least once a day six months after
attending a workshop.
