Micah Schweizer has been news director at WNIN since January 2008. Micah got his start in broadcasting at Wisconsin Public Radio, where he volunteered as a reporter and program host for three years before coming to WNIN. Micah has contributed to NPR, the BBC World Service, and The Takeaway on WNYC New York and is regularly heard across the state on Indiana Public Broadcasting Stations.

In addition to news reporting, Micah co-produces and occasionally hosts WNIN’s weekly call-in program, Tri-State Matters.

Formerly a German teacher, Micah is pleased with the number of German street names in Evansville. He was born in Switzerland and grew up in Pennsylvania, where he received a B.A. in French and German from Bucknell University in 2000.

In his free time, Micah enjoys playing Irish traditional music on the wooden flute. He lives in Evansville with his wife and two high-maintenance cats.
