Trying to Tune In To WNIN Digital TV?
We are presently broadcasting a full power digital signal, however the FCC has required us to use a directional antenna to eliminate interference with an analog station in Missouri. Unfortunately, this greatly reduces our signal strength in the Evansville viewing area. This situation will end at the analog shutdown in February 2009. At that time we will commence broadcasting with full power using an omni directional antenna.
With a little effort you should be able to receive WNIN’s digital channels 9-1 and 9-2. Adjusting your antenna towards our transmitter in Booneville, IN may solve your problem. If not, it may be necessary to use an antenna that amplifies the signal. Once you make changes, don’t forget to have your receiver search again for available channels.
Numerous viewers throughout the Evansville area have reported that their reception of WNIN's DTV signal is excellent. Once your antenna is properly oriented you should be able to view your favorite WNIN programs both in standard and high definition.
Before You Buy a DTV Converter Box...
All DTV converter boxes are not alike. Of the converter boxes that have Electronic Program Guides, for example, the majority only display "now" & "next" programs in the guide. Some other converters list programs farther in advance.
