Written by Becky , on 05/13/2008 17:29 My husband and I were in Boston recently. We hailed a cab near Harvard Square. The driver asked where we were from and we said Indiana. He immediately connected us with Indy car racing. We found out that he was from Haiti, he was marriied and had a young daughter. We chatted for a while and we soon settled back to enjoy the surroundings. Then we heard that smooth soothing sound of Terry Gross from Fresh Air. In that moment there were no more borders. We were on common ground. We were all fans of public radio. That cab felt like home to us. WNIN is my source of comfort for the soul.
