WNIN produces fundraising and community events throughout the year. These events help fund WNIN in its mission to serve the community with programming and outreach in education, health, arts and culture, business and government. WNIN ACTION AUCTION The annual Action Auction takes place in the month of April every year. The Auction is broadcast live on WNIN for 40 hours over 10 days with over 800 businesses donating items and over 1000 community volunteers making the Action Auction possible! This year features an online auction, where you can preview and bid on the larger ticket items. Click on the “auction” link for more details. WNIN KIDS FEST The annual Kids Fest, presented by Bunny Bread is held in the month of September at the WNIN studio located at 405 Carpenter Street in downtown Evansville on a Saturday from 10:00am until 2:00pm. WNIN brings in a Sesame Street character as well as other entertainment such as a magician, dancers, and tumblers. Booth vendors have a variety of hands-on activities to engage the children as well as information on health and well-being. It is always fun at the Kids Fest! WNIN GALA The annual Gala is held the end of January each year and is open to the public. WNIN brings in a celebrity speaker from either National Public Radio or from PBS television. Along with the speaker, we offer hors d’oeuvres, desserts and a live auction to help WNIN raise funds to celebrate and sustain Public Broadcasting for the Tri-State Community.
