Jennifer Evans

Major Gifts/Planned Giving Officer

Jennifer Evans joined WNIN in May 2022. As the Major Gifts/Planned Giving Officer, she cultivates and stewards the philanthropic goals of WNIN major supporters. Jennifer has more than 20 years’ experience in nonprofit, community, and leadership development. Prior to joining WNIN, she worked as the development director for Evansville’s Mesker Park Zoo & Botanic Garden. Jennifer earned her Bachelors in Organizational Leadership from the University of Evansville, and received her Associates in Legal Studies from Vincennes University. She is certified by Indiana University Center on Philanthropy for sustainable fundraising and development.

When asked by her dad, “How did you get into fundraising?” Her response was, “As a kid, I liked throwing parties and asking you for money!”

Jennifer has a passion for activating civic initiatives and connecting people to community resources. Her community engagement and development experience has culminated in collaborative projects, like the Mickey’s Kingdom Riverfront Playground, the Evansville Promise Zone, and the Kinney Family Penguins of Patagonia. She has collectively raised more than $13 million throughout her profession and community service to support civic initiatives. Jennifer has been honored as a recipient of the Celebration of Leadership Community & Neighborhood Event award and the Community Collaboration award, the Keep Evansville Beautiful Outstanding Community Improvement award, and the United Way Southwestern Indiana’s Give award.

Jennifer is a lifelong resident of the Tri-State. She is always on the move to try something new and adventurous, including standing atop natural and man-made skyscrapers. She loves traveling, gardening, hosting dinner parties, and studying astrology and psychology (all in good fun).
